| Children's Health Services: Immunizations, Day Care, Preschool, and kindergarten health assessment screenings, developmental assessments, blood lead screening, counseling, and health education. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children): Nutrition education and food vouchers for qualifying women, infants, and children. Healthy Baby Program: Prenatal and Postnatal education and support to families of Ness County, preparing for birth or adoption, through one year of age. General Health Services: Blood Pressure, Blood sugar screening, A1C, Lipid Panel, Hemoglobin, Vision, Health Education and counseling regarding nutrition, health promotion, disease prevention, adult immunizations, and mental health referrals. Home Health Services: For Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Hemoglobin, Urinalysis, TPR, dressing changes, foot care, nail care, Rx injections, and Medication set up as needed. The Home Health Nurse will consult with the health care provider as needed and inform the physician of any change in status. Communicable Disease Interventions: Surveillance and information to prevent the spread and recurrence of communicable diseases. Tuberculosis Service: Skin testing and medication supply. Referral to medical providers. Environmental Health Services: Information and referral services in cooperation with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment district office and the Central Kansas Local Environment Protection Group. Free water testing kits available. APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE FOR Day Care, Preschool, Kindergarten assesments and Developmental Assessment screenings. |
